What if there is no such thing as asteroids? What if they are merely propaganda to prevent a domestic population from FUD propaganda (fear, uncertainty, doubt) that might spread from a large nuclear blast. And what if the dinosaurs were taken out, not by random chance, but instead a well executed set of biological weapons of mass destruction that targeted their genes so that humans could both become the dominant species physically but also establish a dominance narrative to embolden the human species to maintain a constant defense against learned helplessness that the dinosaurs were trying to instill in our psychology.
