It didn’t matter whether he could get to Mars, all that mattered was whether just enough conversation could be generated about him to rocket him into the position in which NPCs, religious fundamentalists, political junkies, scientists, journalists and government wagies all mention his name on a nearly daily basis.
So the secret societies whisper. How predictable is the simple man!
