#174 “Skeena Flora” by WUi
Where is my black-petaled Flower?
Have you ever seen the Skeena where the Tsimshian run and play?
Have you ever watered flowers with the tears of evil’s day?
For Gott who made The People of the land we call Our Own
Made The People of The Other by the words that He has sown.
The lofty will of justice for the boys and girls who cry
And the kindly folk are recompensed by the Son who came to die.
If, beyond the scope of evil, where the depth of heart is pearled,
In the door He knocking beckons for a solace from the world.
Welcome in the Child who was born to live a light
In the pure and quiet silence of the choice you make sin sight.
Aghast at all the evil wrought by those who birthed a Gott
Raging at their insolence while neglecting their own thought
The cleansing river’s water’s weeping daughters lead to health
By the good they wield in hatred of the opps who work in stealth
Flower garden tenders who with poised and loving choice
Bestowed on earth by birth a Boy who kept his shaky voice
